About us
In the heart of northern Victoria is our Stanhope site, a state-of-the-art cheese plant. Here we make a range of award-winning cheese for both the domestic and export markets.
About the opportunity
Working on a 4x4 roster (6:00AM 6:00PM) the Operations Supervisor will manage the day to day transport operations of our farm milk collection, ensuring all staff, vehicles and assets are utilised efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate and manage the FMC regional roster, including truck availability and movements for effective maintenance activities
- Supervise drivers and oversee their daily activities
- Ensure daily reporting, including COR reporting is completed accurately and in a timely manner
- Liaising with customers to build strong relationships and advise of any changes
- Monitor and analyze transport performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards related to transport operations
Are you the one?
Although prior transport/operational planning experience is desirable, we are happy to consider candidates that have some experience within a logistics or supply chain operations environment and possess strong communication and administrative skills. Training and support will be provided to the right candidate.
You can also demonstrate:
- Proven experience in a similar role involving transport load planning, driver allocating or fleet allocating desirable
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills – experience with TMS highly regarded
- Ability to work in a fast paced and high-pressured environment
- Good geographical knowledge of the region
- High level of written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organised with the ability to work calmly and efficiently in a very high-pressure environment
