We are looking for a Research Officer to join our GCS Risk team.
GCS Risk has over 40 years of experience in the risk consulting space, specialising in local and emerging markets. We provide our clients with a range of services such as Enhanced Due Diligence, Commercial Credit Reports, General Investigations, Skip Tracking and Brand Protection.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with our Lead Investigator to conduct investigations to help our clients make risk based decisions.
The Research Officer is mainly responsible for:
- Conducting research using a range of sources and technique (databases, public information, OSINT)
- Conducting reviews of company structures, source of funds and beneficial ownership
- Preparing and writing investigative reports to assist our clients in making risk based decisions supported by concise findings.
- Assisting our Lead Investigator in managing a caseload of investigations while meeting agreed deadlines
- Manage accurate records of actions taken and investigative steps
- Identify, coordinate and lead changes to improve processes
Core Skills and Knowledge
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify patterns.
- Attention to detail and to the ability to spot irregularities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to meet deadlines, multitask and be organised
- Possess an understanding of Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Terrorism Financing (AML/CTF) regulation which includes PEP, Sanctions and SIP.
- Proactive and self motivated individual with an inquisitive nature
Knowledge of company structures and global jurisdiction will be advantageous
