Operator Quality Measurement to join our Cape Lambert
Quality Measurement Team on a permanent basis to collect and prepare samples for physical and chemical analysis to identify tonnage grade, all within accordance of the safety, environmental and statutory requirements. And because of our size and scale, there are many opportunities to learn, grow and do more than you ever thought possible.Working a residential roster of 3 days on, 2 nights on, 5 days off, 2 days on, 2 nights on and reporting to the Laboratory Supervisor. Every hour of every shift, your safety and wellbeing is our number one priority. We do the work only if it is safe, and we invest to make sure every member of the team has the quality tools they need to do their job.
What you'll bring- Prepare and analyse process plant samples appropriately
- Perform equipment checks and calibration checks in order to maintain the continuous operation of the sampling devices
- Assist in troubleshooting and breakdown maintenance of Laboratory equipment and systems
- Perform sampling, sample preparation, chemical and physical analysis on designated samples and liaising with service customers (Grade Control and Geology)
- Inspect and collect from Plant Sample Stations
- Monitor, fault find and escalate non-conformance that occurs with preparation and analytical equipment or non-compliance with analytical data
About youTo be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
- An Australian manual C-Class Drivers licence
- A Certificate III or higher in Laboratory Operations or a related discipline (desirable)
- Experience with the mentioned computers systems as well as Microsoft office an Excel
- Strong analytical and mechanical aptitude to diagnose faults and problems in laboratory equipment and systems
- The ability to make informed decisions and act promptly when dealing with breakdowns and stoppages
- The ability to perform multiple tasks at the same time
