Ophthalmic Assistant

Harley Eye Clinic is a busy eye specialist practice and we are seeking a confident individual to join the friendly team to work on a casual basis to cover sick and holiday, about 2-5 days a week at our Glenelg or  North Adelaide rooms when needed.

This will be a casual position, hours from Monday to Friday.

The successful applicant will have excellent presentation and good communication skills with exceptional attention to detail. You must be able to effectively prioritise in a busy multi-task environment along with the strong ability to work independently or as part of a team.  You will need to be available for an early start or a late finish. 

Duties will include:-

• Nursing background an advantage but not required, as training will be given
• Standard ophthalmic patient workup
• Visual field testing and OCT scans
• Sterilisation of surgical equipment
• Assisting in the post-operative care of patients
• Document scanning
• Administrative tasks as required

While previous experience working in a similar role is desirable, it is not essential as training will be given. Computer literacy is required with exposure to Xestro an advantage.
