Role Description
This is an on-site role for an Ophthalmic Nurse/Ophthalmic Assistant at SA Eye Specialists Pty Ltd located in Woodville, SA. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional care to patients, and performing duties such as taking patient histories, conducting vision tests, administering eye drops, assisting with minor surgical procedures, and providing post-operative care and advice.
Job Responsibilities
- Conducting visual examinations and ophthalmic scans.
- Assisting in the management of planned operations
- Liaising with private hospitals
- Assisting in minor medical procedures on site
- Managing patient enquires
- Organisation/ ordering of clinic stock
Qualifications
- Experience working in a busy clinic or similar environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients, colleagues, and doctors
- Attention to detail, with the ability to accurately document patient information and maintain electronic health records
- Computer literacy and experience with medical software
