The Accommodation Support Worker is accountable for inducting new clients into the TAC and notating on relevant systems. It is also responsible for providing practical support to clients to achieve case management goals and improve their living and tenancy management skills to successfully secure and maintain suitable housing. Assessing and responding to individual needs of residents and facilitate access to health and social services. Supporting the delivery of living skills workshops and information sessions either in a group setting or on an individual basis. As well as assisting with the planning and delivery of social, cultural and wellbeing activities and modelling the behaviours aligned with the service values of SA Housing Authority.
Special Conditions
- Successful applicant will be required to satisfactorily complete a National Police Clearance prior to being employed.
- Successful applicant will be required to satisfactorily complete a DHS Screening Unit Working with Children Check prior to being employed and every 5 years.
- The successful applicant may be required to hold a current Australian issued Drivers Licence, which must be maintained.
- Some out of hours work, and occasional intrastate travel necessitating overnight absences may be required
- Appointment will be based at the Wangka Wilurrara Transitional Accommodation Centre, Ceduna but may be required to work at other Housing SA sites.
- The incumbent may be assigned to any other area to perform work of a similar nature appropriate to the classification on a temporary or continuing basis.
- Required to undertake shift work on a rostered basis, which may include weekend and Public Holidays and overtime shifts.
Short term contract up to 28 June 2024.
