Capability Life Cycle Management (CLCM)
 

The CLCM is integrated into the System Program Office (SPO) and contracted to deliver through-life asset management of Products being supported (PBS). The CLCM performs asset, sustainment and engineering functions to optimise availability and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and minimise risk through life of the PBS. The CLCM works collaboratively via the SPO with Regional Maintenance Centre’s (RMC) to plan maintenance activities and installation of capability upgrades. The CLCM works collaboratively via the SPO with the Design Services Contract (DSC) to plan and execute engineering changes and services. The CLCM delivers functions against the contract scope across the Asset Class Enterprise to support Defence Maritime Capability.


The Opportunity:
 

The Optimisation Change Implementation Lead (0.5FTE) will oversee the Support System to uphold specified levels of capability, availability, and seaworthiness for the task. The Optimisation Change Implementation Lead will be required to manage the Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Governance and Assurance Plan, along with interpreting and communicating logistics policies and regulations to Defence stakeholders at various levels.
 

The Optimisation Change Implementation Lead will support systems analysis, including sparing and maintenance evaluations, as well as routinely reviewing and approving contract ILS deliverables IAW the statement of work.


Responsibilities:

  • Perform and coordinate detailed analyses to ensure the integration of support considerations into the design process.
  • Plan and develop logistics program activities from the conceptual design stage through the life cycle of the product.
  • Evaluate design concepts to determine if concepts satisfy support requirements and the relative supportability of alternative concepts.
  • Recognised as an expert within the Team. Recommends process, product or service improvements. Solves unique and complex problems that have a broad impact on the sustainment lifecycle.
  • Mentor and advise project team members to achieve milestones and objectives. Regarded as the technical expert in their particular discipline.
  • Requires in-depth and/or breadth of expertise in own discipline and broad knowledge of other disciplines within the job family.
  • Communicates complex ideas, anticipates potential objections and persuades others, often at senior levels, to influence decisions
  • Has formal, supervision of team members at a Department level to include verification of time cards, oversight of daily tasks/schedules and input into performance appraisals.


As the ideal candidate you will bring:

Essential:

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in an integrated logistic support or logistic engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Defence or related technical industry
  • Strong organisational and coordination skills.
  • Experience in leading teams
  • Strong client and staff engagement, relationship and communications skills
  • Strong organisational and coordination skills.
  • Must be eligible for ITAR clearance of relevant ship systems.


Desirable:

  • Degree in Engineering or related technical industry.
  • Cert IV in Materiel Logistics or equivalent
  • Experience in marine design or maintenance preferred.
  • Experience with Department of Defence design delivery.
  • Hold, or be eligible for, membership of a recognised professional body and registration as Chartered Engineer.


All candidates will be required to hold and maintain an active Baseline Defence Security Clearance. Only candidates holding a Baseline Clearance or above should apply.
