About the role
Reporting to the Chief People and Sustainability Officer, the Organisational Development Manager is accountable for delivering strategic outcomes that enhance workforce performance and capability and organisational culture.
The Organisational Development Manager is responsible for leading the development and implementation of:
  • Organisational Development and Workforce Planning strategies, programs and projects; and
  • Change management programs and initiatives associated with structural change and cultural transformation.
Key Responsibilities
  • Leads the development and implementation of strategies and programs to support and enhance organisational culture and leadership and employee capability, engagement and well-being across Southern Ports.
  • Leads the development and implementation of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion strategies and programs.
  • Leads Southern Ports’ Workforce Planning function and the development and implementation of strategies and tools to effect data driven workforce and succession planning outcomes.
  • Leads Southern Ports’ Organisational and Job Design function ensuring that the organisational structure is fit for purpose.
  • Provides specialist expertise to the Executive and senior leaders with restructuring projects.
  • Leads change management programs, projects and initiatives to support structural change and cultural transformation.
  • Provides specialist leadership, advice and support to the Executive and senior leaders across Southern Ports in relation to Organisational Development and Change.
  • Leads and manages the Organisational Development and Change team.
  • Partners with other General Managers in the People and Sustainability Division.
Experience and Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Organisational Development or another relevant field
  • Significant experience in leading strategic Organisational Development and/or change management functions in a medium to large size organisation
  • Significant senior leadership experience including demonstrated experience leading and managing a team
  • Demonstrated project management experience
  • Knowledge of contemporary Organisational Development, workforce planning and change management principles and practices
  • Highly-developed communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to engage and influence clients and stakeholders at all levels
  • Highly-developed conceptual and analytical skills and proven ability to design and implement strategies to support and enhance organisational performance
  • Demonstrated ability to monitor and evaluate performance outcomes and deliver results

Requirements
To be eligible for this 2-year fixed term full-time role, applicants must provide proof of Australian citizenship or permanent residency and reside in Perth or Bunbury.
The successful applicant must have a current WA driver’s licence, be able to obtain and maintain a Maritime Security Access Card and undergo a pre-employment medical assessment including drug and alcohol testing.
