About the Role
As a Novita Orthotist & Prosthetist you will be part of a multi-disciplinary team providing a responsive client and family-centred clinical orthotic & prosthetic service. You will be working across metropolitan and regional South Australia with children and adults to facilitate our client's ability to reach their full potential and independence. Novita uses CAD CAM design and continues to work closely to be on the cutting edge, adopting the latest technology.
Position is a Full Time Position based at Novita Tech Thebarton.
Orthotist & Prosthetist is responsible for:
- Managing clinical caseload involving the assessment, planning, measurement, design, manufacturing, modification, fitting and review of the appropriate Orthotic or Prosthetic device
- Selecting, implementing and evaluating the effectiveness of support solutions and their ability to meet goals and objectives in line with organisational practice standards.
- Designing and implementing support solutions under the guidance of experienced clinical staff based on evidence-based practice.
- Encouraging client and family participation in program evaluation to ensure that services are relevant to the individual family's needs and priorities.
- Integrating Orthotic and Prosthetic services with other Novita services to support a multi-disciplinary approach and liaising with and engaging in decision making, client reviews, planning sessions, program conferences and other appropriate meetings.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and attributes:
- Tertiary qualifications which are acceptable for membership to the Australian Orthotics and Prosthetics Association
- Registration with the Australian Orthotics and Prosthetics Association
- Post-graduate qualification in a relevant field (DESIRABLE ONLY)
- Ability to collaborate with individuals, families and therapists
- Ability to work with people with disabilities and liaise effectively within a multi-disciplinary team
- Highly motivated with excellent organisation, communication, problem solving and time-management skills
- Valid driving licence
- NDIS worker screening, DHS Working with Children and Criminal History Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Fully vaccinated from COVID-19 (Novita mandate).
Total remuneration package includes base salary, annual leave loading and statutory superannuation contribution.
