About the role
As an Outreach Library Assistant each day will bring its own unique challenges and experiences.
You will travel through the Gold Coast in our Library vans so a “C” class licence is essential. Your responsibilities will include delivering our hold items, providing home library services, stocking kiosks and maintaining remote little libraries.
Every day will present you with unique opportunities to engage with community members from all walks of life, each bringing their own perspectives, backgrounds, and needs.
To succeed in this role, emotional maturity and resilience are crucial. You will need to navigate various situations with empathy, and adaptability, fostering meaningful connections and effective communication within our diverse community. You will have a keen aptitude for swiftly mastering new technologies and utilising them proficiently to support customers in navigating our diverse range of equipment and resources.
We're currently seeking dedicated individuals for full-time positions. Successful candidates will need a willingness to obtain a HR Licence and demonstrate flexibility, as they may be required to work across the entire Library Service as operational needs dictate.
