OWNDAYS is an international optical retail company founded in Tokyo, Japan in 1989 and celebrated a milestone of 500 stores in 2023 across Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Cambodia, Philippines, Australia, Malaysia, Vietnam and Netherlands. The brand aims to process a pair of quality glasses within 20 minutes from optometry to delivery. All glasses displayed instore are original brands, designed and manufactured by OWNDAYS that come with UV protection and dust-resistant coating.

By the end of June 2024, we will be having four retail stores in Sydney CBD, Chatswood, Burwood and Hurstville. We are currently looking for some experienced Optical Assistants to join us in our two new stores: Burwood and Hurstville.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Optical Assistant/Sales Associate is responsible for driving sales and providing exceptional customer service as well as optical dispensing. We seek a passionate and self-motivated individual with an appreciation and understanding of fashion and accessories in general and eyewear industry in particular.
Key accountabilities
- Actively engage with customers by identifying needs, relaying product and brand information, and providing prompt assistance.
- Support an environment of teamwork, trust, and collaboration with peers, supervisors, and clientele.
- Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility to change to meet the needs of the business
- Actively participate in merchandising projects (i.e., daily stock maintenance, floor change, inventory)
- Complete daily operational tasks including maintenance of sales floor
- Optical dispensing that includes, lens cutting and fitting, adjusting frames
- Assist Supervisor and staff with driving store initiatives.
- Actively support securing company assets through effective Loss Prevention in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Demonstrates professional appearance and conduct; upholds the brand style and dress code.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Team Player
- A strong commitment to customer service and teamwork.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent brand and product knowledge.
- Flexibility to work a retail schedule that includes weekends, and holidays
- Experience in Eyewear industry, Fashion Industry is a plus
