Your new role
- Ensure packing, weighing, sewing, sealing and palletising is carried out in accordance with the relevant work instructions.
- Responsible for ensuring all packing paperwork is completed correctly and in a timely manner.
- Ensure that the packing area and the products in particular are kept clean, and that particular attention is paid to having the area clean at the end of the shift.
- Ensure that equipment is operated in a careful and appropriate manner so as to minimise wear and damage.
- Ensure that available equipment and procedures are used.
- Implement and report any existing or likely problems that may compromise personal, product safety, or standards
- Assist in all areas as required, ensuring that work is performed as directed
- To actively cooperate with all other personnel at the mill site so as to promote the development of an efficient and friendly working environment
- To train a delegate to manage effectively the full range of personal responsibilities associated with this position
- Ensure that other people are trained to capably progress all tasks associated with the requirements of this position
- Work flexibly as part of a team, adapting your role and duties as appropriate to requirement
- Actively cooperate with all other personnel, promoting an efficient and friendly working environment
- Ensure delegation is instituted and effective for this position,
- Continuously improve the business by constant evaluation of the efficiency, effectiveness and flexibility of business systems, processes and products that your role encompasses.
- Maintain close supervision of all areas that involves direct customer contact. This is to ensure that appropriate standards are maintained and improved, so that customers receive the highest possible levels of quality, service and support.
What you'll need to succeed
- Forklift Licence is desirable
