Expediting Officer

About the role:

The purpose of this role is to facilitate the flow of materials to meet the production schedule and ensure on time delivery is aligned with business needs. Duties include (but not limited to); coordinating and liaising with key suppliers about the status of outstanding order lines, running weekly expediting reports, facilitating WIP meetings, negotiating with suppliers to minimise the impact of conflicting priorities and late deliveries and communicating with key stakeholders about the delivery status.

What you’ll bring:

  • Previous experience in scheduling, expediting, planning or similar role.
  • Solid background and experience in supply chain.
  • SAP and ERP systems desirable.
  • Excellent Excel and Power BI knowledge and reporting desirable.
  • Experience working in a mining manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Tertiary or industry qualifications in procurement or logistics an advantage.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
