The Role:
We are seeking a hands-on Packing Operator to join our team within our manufacturing facility in Bomen.
The Packing Operator is responsible for the efficient and accurate packing of Vetafarm's range of specialised animal products, and will work closely with the Packing Shift Supervisor to ensure targets are met and efficiencies are implemented.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate linear and rotary pouch packing equipment and associated machinery, including water activity testing equipment, scales, carton taping machines, labellers, and automated robotic palletising equipment.
- Meticulous cleaning and maintenance of equipment in accordance with SOPs.
- Accurate completion of production records, quality checks and associated paperwork.
About You:
- Available to work Monday to Thursday from 6am - 4pm.
- Mechanically-minded with previous food manufacturing experience preferred, and the ability to troubleshoot as required.
- Previous experience using linear and rotary pouch packing equipment, as well as carton labelling equipment (preferable).
- A can-do attitude and the ability to problem solve effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and work ethic in a team environment.
- Physically fit and capable of lifting up to 20kgs.
- Good literacy skills, computer knowledge, and attention to detail.
- Holds a current forklift licence, drivers licence and has reliable transportation.
