This nationally significant social infrastructure project will be a place to nurture, trial and share new ideas and form new partnerships that will drive better outcomes for people who are deaf, hard of hearing, blind or have low vision.Job DescriptionThe RoleNextSense has an exciting opportunity for a Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join our team at North Rocks, which will be relocating to Macquarie Park shortly. This is a permanent part-time role and reports directly to the Area Manager. You'll make a difference in this role by:
- providing high quality, client-centred services that assist individuals with vision and hearing loss to achieve their goals and aspirations
- implementing best practice services for clients in clinical and educational settings
- providing evidence-based assessment, intervention supports and other strategies to assist clients in achieving outcomes
- delivering services primarily in person, occasionally via telepractice, in a NextSense centre, client home, school or other appropriate setting
- using a person/family centred framework when providing services
- developing, delivering and evaluating Individual Support Plans and progress reports with the client, their family and relevant others

- Bachelor in occupational therapy or equivalent
- Professional membership with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (Ahpra)
- Demonstrates sound clinical skills and knowledge

- Valid driver's licence

- NDIS Worker Check
- Prior experience working with clients with a sensory disability
- Working knowledge of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) framework
- Prior experience providing occupational therapy services highly regarded
