Little Seeds Allied Health provides multidisciplinary, family-centred support for children and their families in a flexible clinic based and mobile visiting service in Toowoomba, Qld. We are passionate about providing meaningful and evidence-based therapy services for children across a variety of settings (clinic, home and community). Our experienced senior therapists each hold between 7-17 years’ experience to provide peer mentoring support, with all three senior physiotherapists possessing post graduate qualifications in paediatric physiotherapy. This includes our Principal Physiotherapist and co-owner Dr Chelsea Mobbs, who has recently completed her PhD and lectures in the new University of Southern Queensland Physiotherapy program.
We love our team and are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated physiotherapist with experience in paediatrics to join us!
What does working at Little Seeds Allied Health look like?
- Undertake assessments and collaborate with families to set meaningful goals for children aged between birth to 15 years
- Provide high quality, evidence-based, fun and engaging physiotherapy intervention in a variety of formats (one on one, group, education sessions) for children with developmental delay or neurodevelopmental disabilities
- Work collaboratively with other team members (Speech Pathologists, Dietitian and Physiotherapists) and members of the child’s team in other settings (school, other service providers)
- A choice about the makeup of your caseload. We believe that the best outcomes occur when there is a match between a clinician’s skills, passions and interests and the individual needs of the child and their family. We work with you to get the caseload balance of clinical presentations your skillsets are suited to and clinical presentations that you would like to learn more about.
- A caseload that gradually increases over your first few weeks to approximately 4.5 hr equivalent sessions per day to help you get a feel for our workplace culture. Our lower-than-industry average billable hours target of 4.5 hours per day is indicative of the emphasis of quality over quantity in our clinical practice. At Little Seeds Allied Health, we are passionate about helping you grow your skills as a clinician, and have a rewarding career.
- Opportunities to develop new programs (e.g., like our Sporty Seeds program developed by our Postgraduate Paediatric Masters-qualified Physiotherapist!) and engage in research opportunities, with three research projects currently running in our practice.
