Role Overview:
As the Senior Paediatric Physiotherapist and Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in leading our team of dedicated physiotherapists. You will serve as a mentor and guide to junior staff members, providing clinical expertise, support, and professional development opportunities. In addition to your leadership responsibilities, you will also deliver high-quality physiotherapy services to paediatric patients, ensuring the highest standards of care and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing clinical leadership and guidance to junior physiotherapists, including mentoring, coaching, and supporting their professional development.
- Conducting assessments and developing individualized treatment plans for paediatric patients with a variety of physical challenges and conditions.
- Delivering hands-on physiotherapy interventions, exercises, and treatments to children of all ages, from infants to adolescents.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including occupational therapists, speech therapists, and physicians, to ensure holistic care for patients.
- Overseeing caseload management, scheduling, and workflow coordination.
- Co-ordination of professional development schedule, performance reviews and team culture and planning days.
- Participating in team meetings, case discussions, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physiotherapy.
- Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in paediatric physiotherapy.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and experience mentoring junior staff members.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
