All about the role
As a small digital team, we aim to build an outstanding program for the future that focuses on highly integrated through-the-line campaigns, always-on lead generation activity, strong brand engagement, and the retention of existing patients. We want to fully leverage different channels to reach audiences from all walks of life, and support the rest of the team in their local area and recruitment marketing efforts.
Reporting to the Digital Marketing Manager - Australia, the Digital Marketing Specialist will help grow our capability in these areas and play a vital role as a custodian of our Paid Media activity. You will work across a variety of brands - Maven Dental, 1300SMILES Dentists, and a number of other clinics across Australia - as well as cross into the recruitment marketing space for Abano Healthcare.
The role will appeal to anyone looking for a hands-on role in digital marketing; someone who delights in a varied workday, crafting high-performing campaigns, testing ad creative, finding the ultimate high-performing headline, and having a laugh in a team of passionate marketers.
What you'll be doing
Paid Media Activity: Work closely with Marketing team members to propose plans for and create high-performing data-driven campaigns. This activity will vary from campaign activity that supports specific clinics/brands, to lead generation advertising to ensure new patient growth across the network. You'll be involved from conception to conclusion: issuing briefs, working with design on creative, producing ad copy, and building campaigns in different platforms.
Agency Management: We employ a local marketing agency, that currently runs our SEM / Google Ad Network activity. We're hoping to expand and accelerate on these channels, and are looking for the right team member to work alongside this agency to deliver consistent results each month.
Testing, Learning & Reporting: You'll have an insatiable curiosity for running campaigns, learning what works and what doesn't, and tinkering until they're successful. You'll monitor all paid digital activity throughout its lifecycle to uncover new opportunities mid-flight and report on results to determine how we can deliver better outcomes in the future.
What we're looking for from you
First and foremost, you'll be a curious, passionate marketer who enjoys working with others. Our team will always take the time to help each other out, and that's what we look for in a new member! You'll have fantastic attention to detail and a tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (Business/Commerce/Marketing, etc.) or relevant experience in a similar role.
- 2+ years of digital media experience, client-side or agency.
- Outstanding oral and organisational ability, with proven written communication skills, especially in copywriting.
- You enjoy working across multiple facets of marketing, but will have expertise in both SEM and Paid Social Media Advertising.
- Can ideate, plan, publish and adjust multi-channel campaigns (with asset production) aligned with allocated budgets.
- Ability to project manage and multitask while working closely with other team members and key stakeholders (e.g. legal, design).
- Demonstrated experience in landing page creation and conversion rate optimisation.
- You will take a particular interest in emerging digital marketing trends and ad formats, and be eager to try new techniques in the wild.
- Have experience managing relationships and projects with agencies (or have worked for one yourself).
- Experience configuring, implementing and tracking digital campaigns across multiple channels to meaningfully measure success. You will delight in translating your learnings to stakeholders across all levels of the business.
