Painter And Decorator

MWP Coatings Pty Ltd is currently looking to employ a full-time Painter and Decorator. The Ideal
the candidate will be responsible for providing painting and decorating services.
Main Tasks
- Preparation of surface by sanding, filling holes, covering with plastic or drop sheets and
washing to remove dust
- Ensure colour co-ordination, shade matching and material mixing to match existing finishing
schemes as necessary (graining, dragging, ragging and similar specific effects finish)
- Applying paints, varnish, and strains to surfaces using brushes, rollers and sprays
- Correctly calculate time and material to complete tasks and establish quality check,
- Clean and maintain tools and equipment, using solvents, brushes, and rags,
- OHS - requirements are to be in accordance with legislation/regulations/code of practice
and, in-house organisational safety policies and procedures,
- Implement ideas, design, propose techniques, and suggest improvement throughout all
areas of the organisation
Relevant Qualifications and Experience
- Professional skills and experience in painting,
- Demonstrated competency in colour coordination,
- Australian driver’s license is desirable,
- Formal qualification in painting trades work desirable

Salary between $70,000 - $85,000 per year
