Responsibilities

• Take pride in the quality of workmanship
• Ensure compliance with the National Construction Code, Australian Standards, and all Occupational Health & Safety requirements met at all times
• Maintain clean and organised work areas
• Provide guidance and support to apprentices, when required
• Be a team player and collaborate with other tradespeople on construction projects

Skills

• Proven experience as a qualified Painter within the building & Construction Industry
• Proficient knowledge of painting techniques and methods
• Capable of following instructions
• Excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritise tasks efficiently while working under pressure & to deadlines
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members
• Be confident and diplomatic in resolving any issues that may arise
• Pro-active and excellent time management skills - complete tasks in a timely and safe manner.
• Eager and willing to learn and grow within the role and company
• Be self-motivated, solution focused and have a positive attitude
• Reliable, punctual, and have excellent work ethics 
• Physically fit and able to perform the physical requirements of the role
• Comprehensive knowledge of painting methods

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will have excellent painting skills, passionate about painting to a high standard of finish, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. 

• Trade qualification or relevant experience in Painting is essential
• Valid driver's license
• White Card (Construction Induction Card)
• Ability to pass a Police Integrity Check 
• Working at Heights (preferable)
• First Aid certificate (preferable)
• High Risk Work (EWP/Scissor Lift) certificate (preferable)
• Confined Spaces (preferable)

Application

Salary is negotiable and dependent on level of skill and experience. The salary range is between $75,000 - $83,000.

This full-time position provides a great opportunity to work with an established organisation offering challenging work.

We provide a fully maintained company vehicle (when your licence is valid) including a fuel card. 

Personal hand tools are required.
