Responsibilities
- Take pride in the quality of workmanship
- Ensure compliance with the National Construction Code, Australian Standards, and all Occupational Health & Safety requirements met at all times
- Maintain clean and organised work areas
- Provide guidance and support to apprentices, when required
- Be a team player and collaborate with other tradespeople on construction projects
Skills
- Proven experience as a qualified Painter within the building & Construction Industry
- Proficient knowledge of painting techniques and methods
- Capable of following instructions
- Excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritise tasks efficiently while working under pressure & to deadlines
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members
- Be confident and diplomatic in resolving any issues that may arise
- Pro-active and excellent time management skills - complete tasks in a timely and safe manner.
- Eager and willing to learn and grow within the role and company
- Be self-motivated, solution focused and have a positive attitude
- Reliable, punctual, and have excellent work ethics
- Physically fit and able to perform the physical requirements of the role
- Comprehensive knowledge of painting methods
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate will have excellent painting skills, passionate about painting to a high standard of finish, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Trade qualification or relevant experience in Painting is essential
- Valid driver's license
- White Card (Construction Induction Card)
- Ability to pass a Police Integrity Check
- Working at Heights (preferable)
- First Aid certificate (preferable)
- High Risk Work (EWP/Scissor Lift) certificate (preferable)
- Confined Spaces (preferable)
Application
Salary is negotiable and dependent on level of skill and experience. The salary range is between $75,000 - $83,000.
This full-time position provides a great opportunity to work with an established organisation offering challenging work.
We provide a fully maintained company vehicle (when your licence is valid) including a fuel card.
Personal hand tools are required.
