Paralegal / Legal Secretary

BARKUS DOOLAN WINNING is a Sydney based First Tier boutique family law firm with a national reputation. We are seeking a Legal Secretary / Paralegal to work directly with a Partner.  We want someone who is highly organised and has an eye for detail.

To be considered for this position you will need:

• Previous experience in a law firm, especially a Family Law would be advantageous
• Currently studying a law degree or completed a law degree would be beneficial, but not required
• Excellent written and oral communication skills 
• Working knowledge of MS Office and/or PC environment
• Great enthusiasm and take pride in the quality of your work
• Initiative and enjoy building client relations
• Ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Present in a professional manner
• A positive attitude and be a team player 

Your role will be varied including but not limited to;

• Support the drafting of legal documents under the supervision of the Partner or lawyers
• Typing legal documents (knowledge of BigHand software would be an advantage)
• Liaising with clients, barristers and other solicitors
• Providing administrative support to the Partner
• File management and electronic filing
• Diary management
• If you have paralegal experience, then the role will involve providing more legal assistance to the Partner
