The Role

Reporting to the Finance Manager, this hands-on role is a shared service across both the Hammersley and Tri Nature companies. You will utilise your accounts experience and communication skills, within a supportive team environment, to complete the Accounts Officer responsibilities. 

Your Responsibilities 

Creditors

• Enter creditor invoices into SAP.
• Create payments in the online banking system.
• Enter payments to creditors into the creditor ledger section of SAP.

Debtors

• Enter receipts in the debtor ledger section in SAP.
• Follow up outstanding debtors.

Accounting Support

• Reconcile bank accounts weekly.
• Reconcile credit cards, debtors and creditors ledgers monthly.
• Reply to debtors and creditors account enquiries.

Communication

• Liaise with the Finance Manager regarding current outstanding payments and payment scheduling, outstanding debtors and cash flow. 
• Liaise with Purchasing Officer regarding upcoming purchase requirements.

About You

You could be in a similar role and looking for a change or new challenge. Alternatively, you could be seeking the opportunity for career progression into a management accountant role. If you are studying Accounting or similar qualifications and seeking on the job training whilst completing your course, this role would be perfect for you. 

We need someone with a blend of technical skills and experience, that covers the following:

• Relevant previous experience either as an Accounts Officer or similar positions.
• Tertiary qualifications in accounting or completing studies, whilst working in this role. 
• Payroll experience using Wage Easy would be an advantage but not essential
• Experience with SAP is considered an advantage but not essential.
• Highly proficient computer skills and capable of using Microsoft office suite (particularly Excel).
• Strong attention to detail with a consistently high standard of accuracy and the ability to work autonomously.
• Self-motivated and self-directed in producing quality work and meeting deadlines.
• Confident and well mannered, with excellent communication skills that will support positive interactions.
• Must be organised, systematic and follow a structured approach.
• A team player with a genuine interest in supporting work colleagues and enjoys working in an energetic team environment.
