Position for a Receptionist/Administration/Legal Assistant in a busy Family Law and Wills and Estate Planning practice at a boutique law firm based on the Mornington Peninsula which specialises in Family Law and Wills and Estates.
The role
We are currently looking for a Legal Assistant to join our growing and energetic team on a permanent Part time basis. Working in a fast-paced environment, the role will include working closely with the Principal Lawyer and assisting all Solicitors in their daily work and operations.
Duties include:
- Liaising with clients;
- Calendar management;
- Opening new client files and collating documents;
- Preparing briefs and Court documents;
- Drafting and sending correspondence;
- Assisting with daily work of Solicitors; and
- General administrative duties.
The ideal candidate:
As our firm is fast paced, we are seeking a well-organised and proactive additional to our team who demonstrates the following skills:
- Family Law or Wills and Estates experience preferred;
- Able to work autonomously and with attention to detail;
- Strong organisation skills;
- Proficient in LEAP (not essential);
- Friendly and confident attitude and able to work in a group environment; and
- Great customer service skills and the ability to communicate well with clients.
