Job description

We're currently recruiting multiple Legal Assistants for our nationally renowned client in their stunning Melbourne CBD office. We have openings for permanent and fixed-term positions in the practice areas of Family, Workplace, and Insurance law. These roles vary in required experience level and specific responsibilities and therefore applicants with prior experience and a passion towards any of these areas of law are strongly encouraged to apply. These opportunities are well suited for individuals searching for career advancement in a top firm and are seeking a platform to continually hone their skills as an outstanding Legal Assistant. Law students will be considered for this role, however as this is a full-time position  complete availability is essential. THE ROLE
  • Document management including drafting correspondence, court forms, and formatting legal documents
  • Accessing and filing Court forms
  • Reviewing on-line registries and record relevant information, including diarising dates and downloading relevant documents as directed
  • Conducting company and property searches
  • Prepare and organise documents for briefs
  • Scheduling and arranging appointments and drafting letters
  • Answering inbound telephone calls with client liaison
  • Actively assisting the team to improve office efficiency
  • General ad hoc administrative duties as and when directed 
 ABOUT YOU 
  • You possess full working rights - no working holiday or student visa's unfortunately
  • Previous experience in legal administration/secretarial work 1-3 Years
  • Experience in Insurance, Family or Workplace law would be ideal
  • Ability to work full time
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • High level typing skills, with experience in MS Office and legal practice management suites
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Team player

  • 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday in the office
