To be successful in the role, you will be able to demonstrate your ability and aptitude in the following key criteria:  

✔    Have a keen eye for design

✔    Extract and interpret key data and information quickly and accurately from plans, specifications and contract documentation

✔    Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills

✔    Proactively communicate with sub-contract and material suppliers request for pricing

✔    Ability to Interpret and apply Australian Standards to physical applications

✔    Deadline driven with a ‘do whatever it takes’ mentality and approach

✔   Capable and willing to hold yourself accountable to key performance indicators (KPIs)

✔   Highly analytical aptitude

✔   Highly commercial and numerate, with the ability to identify appropriate value added or value engineering opportunities

✔    Confident communicator and ability to effectively liaise with other staff, clients, suppliers and sub-contractors

✔    Minimum 3 years experience in an Estimating / Draftsperson or related role

✔    Highly competent in using Excel (advanced user) and MS Word

This position will report to the General Manager and is required to support the estimation and design department for all contracts and projects and be directly responsible for:

• Schedule and manage tender requests
• Ensure quantifiable project specific take off’s are completed for materials and labour
• Ensure tenders and estimates meet company target margins
• Submitting tenders within agreed timescales
• Follow up all tender submissions
• Liaise with the Operations Department for handover when a contract/project is secured
• Being a key member in the growth and development of a growing player in the industry
