Job description

The Team
The Clyde & Co Partner Recruitment team consists of five people globally, three for the UK (including support), one for North America and one for APAC & MEA combined (Middle East & Africa).
The overall purpose of this role is to work closely with the Partner Recruitment, Senior Manager for APAC & MEA to help facilitate the smooth day to day running of lateral Partner Recruitment processes across all our APAC & MEA offices.
The global Partner Recruitment team operates separately to the general recruitment team and is crucial in ensuring that potential lateral partners have the best possible overall experience with Clyde & Co, regardless of whether they ultimately join us, or not. That includes high levels of communication and swift, but complete, processes.
You must be extremely organized, efficient, proactive, able to work both independently and as part of a small team, naturally communicative, and able to interact effectively across a range of very senior internal stakeholders, and externally with our key trusted agencies across APAC and MEA. You will also interact with the global Partner Recruitment team. The nature of Partner Recruitment also necessitates that you can maintain strict confidentiality and discretion.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Senior Partner Recruitment Manager, your duties and responsibilities will include:
  • Providing full administrative support, including email, calendar, and system management.
  • Providing support at meetings and on calls as required.
  • Helping to drive forward, and record, the steps of each Partner Recruitment process from inception to onboarding.
  • Working with relevant stakeholders to ensure completion of all documentation required from candidate business plans and initial financial analysis to sponsors reports, final commercial models, and Board packs.
  • Helping to managing the conflict checks process, and ensuring that restrictive covenants, non-compete and non-solicitation clauses have been properly considered by the firm.
  • Ensuring that all regional and global internal reporting requirements, like trackers, are met.
  • Developing strong, trusted, relationships with internal stakeholders like partners and our regional and global COOs, finance, recruitment agencies, and candidates, and ensuring high levels of communication and levels of service.
  • Using LinkedIn Recruiter, Pirical, and other search tools, to map the partners, markets and practice areas in which Clyde & Co operates across APAC and MEA and to keep them up to date in terms of partner and team movements.
  • Undertaking ah hoc search assignments as required.
  • Keeping up to date with market trends that are relevant to Clyde & Co and preparing brief update summaries for presentation to key stakeholders, as required.
  • Liaising with regional and global business functions as needed throughout the Partner Recruitment process.
  • Assisting in the lateral's onboarding and helping to facilitate 6- and 12-month integration reviews.
Essential Skills & Experience
  • At least three years of relevant experience.
  • Superb organizational and administrative skills.
  • A recruitment background, either from an agency or in-house, ideally with some legal experience.
  • An understanding of basic financials.
  • An interest in the intricacies of partner level recruitment, and a willingness to learn.
  • Able to work flexible working hours to accommodate the different time zones of APAC and MEA, i.e. start later, end later.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, the ability to take ownership over all work undertaken and to see things through to completion.
  • Discrete, non-impulsive, sensitive to confidentiality concerns, and able to first consider the possible consequences of actions.
  • Professional, calm, consistent demeanor.
  • Resilient, ability to 'roll up sleeves' to get work done.
  • Driven, energetic and enthusiastic.
  • Proactive and fast paced working style.
  • Delivery focused.
  • Articulate with confident and effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Management of dynamic and changing priorities and conflicting deadlines.
  • Proactive, flexible, and innovative approach to work, applying good common sense.
