About the Collingwood Football Club 
Collingwood Football Club (CFC) was founded in 1892.

Local residents, community and business leaders and politicians all hoped that having their own football club could help bring a measure of pride to a downtrodden suburb.

In 2024, CFC is one of the great icons of Australian sport. Our history spans 130 years, 16 premierships and more finals appearances than any other club. Most importantly, Collingwood has grown from being a football club to a sports club with a commitment to our community.

Collingwood is not made by a President, a Captain, a Coach or a CEO.  It’s not just any one player, employee, supporter or fan, Collingwood is made by many.

The Opportunity
Reporting to the Senior Partnerships Lead, the Partnership Executivewill manage and service allocated commercial partners, ensuring the performance and delivery of all terms and deal entitlements contained in partner contracts.

The Partnership Executive will look to grow Commercial Partnerships through the development and selling of commercial opportunities created by the partnerships team or other streams of the Club.

They will also provide assistance and co-ordination to various administrative tasks and project work within the commercial partnerships team.

Additionally, the Partnership Executive will contribute to the Commercial Partnerships team in the delivery of its objectives and measurable outcomes set annually.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a high level of account management and end-to-end servicing of a portfolio of club commercial partners across our AFL & AFLW programs
  • Build and nurture deep relationships with current partners to ensure maximization of the full value of the partnership.
  • Provide operational work in progress (WIP) reports.
  • Activation and fulfilment of contractual assets, promotions, programs and contract obligations (match day and non-match day).
  • Work collaboratively with all departments of the Club to ensure the delivery partnership outcomes.
  • Foster strong relationships with Partners.
  • Preparation of reports, proposals and evaluations for Partners.
  • Management and tracking of allocated commercial partners budgets. 
  • Delivery of partner activations across the AFL and AFLW seasons including at Collingwood match days, open training and other Club events.
  • Host Commercial Partners at CFC events including Presidents’ functions and networking events.

About You
To be successful as the Partnership Executive, you will have:

  • Commercial acumen and proven workplace performance;
  • Strong administration skills in MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Excellent people skills;
  • Highly developed interpersonal and written communication skills;
  • Experience working with the contractual aspects of commercial partnership agreements;
  • Ability to project manage specific marketing and commercial programs;
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and within strict budgets;
  • Ability to work in complex environment with multiple stakeholder interests;
  • 2+ years’ experience in similar role and/or relevant industry; and
  • Interest in sports and the sporting environment
