Ash Passive Fire Solutions (APFS) is a rapidly growing Passive Fire company in NSW. APFS have been providing fire stopping and fire sealing services throughout Sydney and NSW for the last 18 years and are renowned as the premier service provider within the Passive Fire industry.
Given the large gap in knowledge of Passive Fire systems throughout the country, APFS have been innovating and problem solving on behalf of builders, occupants and authorities to bring guaranteed safety to Australian buildings through precisely communicated Passive Fire consultancy.
The Role
- Newly created role following the rapid expansion of our company within the fire protection industry.
- The role you will fulfil with APFS will be a blend of on-site auditing, research, team support and customer service.
- You will be reporting directly to our Audit Manager, with extensive on the job training and long term mentorship.
- This is an innovative role at the forefront of fire safety in the Australian building industry requiring the utmost in diligence and a strong problem solving capability.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders (clients, building management, engineers etc.)
- Great possibilities for future advancement exist for the right candidate.
- Analysing, studying and assessing site plans, Passive Fire specifications, BCA reports, Fire Engineering Reports and related documents
- Ensure all jobs meet the Ash Passive best practice including meeting all legislative requirements
- A combination of both office and onsite work environments
Requirements
- Possessing a relevant FPAS qualification or be on the pathway to holding the relevant qualifications (Building Surveying will also be considered) is a distinct advantage
- Experience in the building or Passive Fire industries advantageous
- Knowledge of the BCA and relevant Australian Standards is desirable
- Knowledge of building compartmentation and the ability to read building plans
- Must be able to identify fire rated elements within all building classifications
- Ability to interpret Fire Engineering/BCA reports and apply the results to a building inspection advantageous
- Ability to confidently engage with stakeholders
- Experience with auditing software (Uptick a considerable advantage)
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Outstanding communication
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Intermediate to advanced IT skills inc. Microsoft Office
- Travel all over Sydney, Newcastle and Wollongong
- Drivers’ licence and own vehicle
- Must have the right to work in Australia
