Pastry Chef to join our dynamic team. Enjoy the flexibility of working over five days with the creative freedom to innovate in our buffet-focused kitchen. Pakenham's proximity to Melbourne offers the perfect blend of suburban tranquility and urban amenities, making it an ideal location for both work and lifestyle balance.
Position Description- Lead the pastry department in a bustling buffet setting.
- Oversee dessert production for dinner and weekend lunches.
- Collaborate with other chefs for plating and heating desserts.
- Enjoy creative freedom within costing guidelines.
- Manage ordering, rotation, and production schedules efficiently.
- Work alongside a weekend team of 4-6 chefs in your dedicated kitchen wing.
Position Requirements- Proven experience in buffet-style pastry production.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to cost dishes and manage ordering effectively.
- Self-motivated with a passion for innovation and quality.
- Experience in a leadership role preferred.
