Our Journey:
Support Services is responsible for the provision of non-clinical services that includes food services, patient support, porters, cleaning, linen, pest control, central production kitchen, waste management, car parking, hygiene services and some retail services.
The General Services department at Casey Hospital requires a qualified Patient Services Assistant to work as part of our team working in our new Early Parenting Centre located in Clyde North.
We are looking for a flexible person who is keen to fill a permanent part time role with an opportunity to back fill additional shifts where available.
Positions available:
Patient Services Assistant - Early Parenting Centre (Clyde North)
Position 1.
Monday - Friday 09.00 - 17.00
(75 hours per fortnight)
Position 2.
Friday 10.00 - 15.00
(10 hours per fortnight)

A Day in the life:
The ideal candidate will enjoy working within a committed team who strive to consistently deliver high quality and efficient cleaning services.
Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Ward and department cleaning
- Bed making
- Use of lifting equipment; bed movers and wheelchairs
- Assisting nursing staff as requested
- Transfer & cleaning of ward equipment
A strong commitment to working effectively as part of a team and flexibility to change shifts or cover staff leave at short notice

- Has great time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks
- Certificate III Health Services Assistant (Essential)
- Previous experience as a Patient Services Assistant (Desirable)
- Excellent understanding of patient identification procedures.
- Ability to comprehend and follow written instructions and procedures
- Able to undertake physical work including lifting, carrying and manual handling
- Excellent understanding of cleaning methodologies and infection control procedures
- A strong commitment to working effectively as part of a team
