About the role
Collaborate within our vibrant and growing finance team to leverage your passion for numbers and support a national health business, dedicated to making a positive difference to some of the most vulnerable people in our community.
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this role will see you responsible for providing accurate, timely and efficient payroll services for the organisation’s employees. You will ensure all operational aspects of payroll processing and associated activities are accurate and delivered within appropriate time frames.
Responsibilities:
- Investigating and handling payroll related queries
- Manage legislated payments such as paid parental leave, workers compensation, PAYG and superannuation
- Process onboarding and terminations
- Year-end reconciliation and lodgement of STP reporting
- Contribute to process and system improvements
- Pay as you go reporting and related compliance on a weekly or fortnightly basis
- Process accounts payable and maintain archiving.
- Liase with staff (especially the Chief Financial Officer) regarding purchasing and procurement process.
- Raise and process invoices as requested.
- Process receipts.
- Reconcile sales receipts including money received via Credit Card or Electronic Funds transfer.
- Reconcile Credit Card expenses.
- Central point of contact for all payroll queries – resolve and respond to payroll inquiries and discrepancies
- Work closely with HR and internal HR Recruitment Department
To be successful you will have:
- Superior communication skills and attention to detail
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Experience in end-to-end payroll processing
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in payroll systems
- Working knowledge of the NES and award interpretation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a can-do attitude
- Previous experience in Employment Hero highly regarded but not essential
