MAYDAY Recruitment is excited to partner with a Global Leader in the Recruitment Industry to hire an experienced Payroll and Finance Assistant for a 7-month maternity leave contract.
This varied position will see you manage the fortnightly payroll for around 50 temporary employees and assist with accounts and reporting functions for local and international teams.

- An annual salary of $80,000 - $85,000 + super,

- Full handover and training provided to ensure you are set up for success.
- Manage end-end fortnightly payroll of 50+ casual employees across three subsidiaries,
- Assist in the monthly payroll of permanent staff in the Sydney office,
- Ensure timesheets are submitted and processed accurately in time for fortnightly pay runs,
- Set up new starters and process leavers as applicable,
- Look after company credit cards, including repayments and the reconciliation of statements,
- Partner with international offices in the UK, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Dubai,
- Manage Accounts Payable and Receivable functions for the wider APAC region, ensuring efficiency across time zones,
- Generate and issue invoices to clients, complete supplier vendor forms and PO requests,
- Process invoices and manage queries from clients and stakeholders,
- Assist with fortnightly, monthly, and quarterly financial reporting, including but not limited to, margin and labour hire reporting, payroll tax and general payroll reporting,
- Reconcile pay run reports, upload payments to the bank and issue pay slips,
- Daily use of various systems including Astute, Great Plains and Microsoft Excel.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a finance environment and processing payroll,
- Knowledge of payroll legislation,
- Experience using Astute and Microsoft Dynamics is advantageous,
- A high attention to detail and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel,
- Working rights within Australia – visa holders who can work full-time hours will be considered.
