About the Role:
The overall purpose of the Payroll Data Analyst is to analyse and interpret Payroll Data to ensure accuracy, audit and legislative compliance, and to develop data models to support payroll remediation activities.
An example of duties you may perform include:
- Develop and implement data models and lead payroll remediation calculations (including monitoring and reporting on remediation payment progress and outcomes).
- Lead the implementation of payroll analytics and insights to support critical business decisions
- Exercise leadership and innovation in the design, development and production of data models (including visual summaries and analysis) on payroll remediation and business as usual activities
- Participate in and provide high level data insights and advice to the management of relevant working groups/ committees.
This is a full-time, continuing position at a HEP 9 classification with a salary range of $124,066 - $129,080 per annum plus 17% superannuation, working 36.75 hours per week.
About You:
We are seeking someone who has an excellent attention to detail and analytical skills including the ability to design, develop and implement payroll remediation calculations and models.
You will operate under the broad direction of the Senior Manager, Payroll Compliance and Operations, and will be required to manage other administrative, technical and/or professional staff.
You will also have:
- Qualifications or demonstrated experience in the areas of risk and payroll compliance
- Demonstrated experience in Oracle SQL or Microsoft suite tools and methodologies to extract data for data analytics and insights
- Ability to analyse and detect patterns, inconsistencies, and anomalies in Payroll Data
- Experience in the use of Oracle HCM and/or AscenderPay systems (Desirable)
