HumanAbility is Australia’s Jobs and Skills Council for Health, Human Services, Early Education, Sport and Recreation Sectors. This newly formed Jobs and Skills Council will assume a leadership role in providing industry with a stronger, more strategic voice supporting these sectors to have a future workforce with the skills and training they need.
The Opportunity:
The team are seeking a dedicated Data Analyst to join their fast-growing team. In this role, you will collect, analyse, and visualise data from various sources to provide insights that inform decision-making and program development. Your work will directly support the enhancement of vocational education and training systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect and analyse data, maintaining databases and data systems.
- Clean, detect, examine, and decode trends or patterns within complex datasets.
- Develop data dashboards, charts, and visual aids to support internal and stakeholder decision-making.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations
- Communicate data insights effectively to support decision-making.
- Develop, maintain, and manage databases to store and organise data effectively.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on data collection, analysis, and project management.
- Foster relationships with industry experts, educators, and policymakers to gather insights and share research outcomes.
Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Data Science, Business Analytics, Applied Economics or comparable discipline
- Proven experience in data analysis, data models, data mining, and segmentation techniques.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis tools and data analysis languages.
- Experience in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and dashboard creation.
- High-level problem-solving and analytical skills. Including the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to produce accurate, easy-to-read, and insightful reports and advice.
- Proven record of working effectively, both independently and as a collaborative team member.
- Experience in a relevant sector is desirable but not essential.
