About the role:
Our client is a national organisation who has a fantastic company culture and provides flexible working conditions. An opportunity has arisen for an experienced, hands-on Payroll Manager to join the company on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a hands-on payroll management position within a national organisation. The business is looking to streamline areas in the payroll function so you will help lead and drive the payroll projects over the coming few years.
Your responsibilities include:
Manage the payroll function and ensure payroll is processed in a timely and accurate manner
Coordinate, direct and control payroll preparation, processing and distribution
Develop strong internal and external relationships with key stakeholders (Executives, HR, Finance)
Work collaboratively and as a team across departments
Award interpretation- multiple awards and EBAs
Identify process improvements and implement these changes to establish a smooth payroll function
Lead and drive the payroll system implementation project
The successful candidate will have:
Prior experience managing a payroll function
Driven and led payroll projects
Worked with and used multiple EBAs and awards
A good understanding of Superannuation and Payroll Tax laws and requirements
A hands on and proactive attitude to support the payroll function
