The Role:
As the Payroll Manager you will be a pivotal role within the wider Finance and HR Team. This is a varied role where you will manage a Payroll Officer whilst overseeing the overall payroll for the business on both a national and international scale. Your core duties will include:
- Manage, process and review payroll across Australia and Asia for 600+ staff
- Interpretation of EBA/Awards
- Manage salary continuance, salary packaging program, workers compensation schemes and superannuation fund relationships
- Manage and review the payroll monthly processed by the outsource payroll team for Asia and the Pacific regions
- Reconciling general ledger payroll accounts
- Accurate processing and payments of employment related obligations - Superannuation, PAYG, Workers Compensation and Payroll Tax
- Resolving escalated queries relating to payroll across the organisation
- Generation and analysis of payroll reports for the HR & Remuneration Committee and Leadership Team
- Calculation and processing of annual leave, long service leave, termination payments
- Conducts routine payroll audits
- Month end & year end payroll reporting
- Management of the Payroll Officer and approval of their payroll monthly & fortnightly.
- Previous experience as a Payroll Manager (5 years+)
- Previous experience within remuneration (ideal)
- Experience with EBA's or interpreting awards
- Extensive knowledge in Australian payroll practises, compliance and legislation
- Have supported payroll on a national and international basis (ideally)
- Extensive external and internal stakeholder management experience
- Previous experience managing or mentoring staff
