About the role:
As a result of an internal move, an exciting opportunity has become available for a talented Payroll Officer to join our supportive and friendly Payroll team.
Reporting into the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for processing manual and automated payments to staff while ensuring compliance with all related legislation. In this role, you will also be researching issues and developing recommendations to resolve employee and management payroll issues. With your proactive approach to situations, you will be able to foresee alternative solutions to any potential challenges.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring salaries and wages are distributed accurately and on time as per EBA, Award, Employment Contracts and other legislative requirements
- Interpreting awards/ agreement/ contracts
- Ensuring all timesheets, payroll changes, records and other related material is received prior to the close of payroll run
- Resolving/answering queries relating to payroll across the organization
- Processing employee changes requests
- Identify and escalate issues
To be considered successful as the Payroll Officer, you will have minimum 2 years experience in end to end Payroll.
Experience with HR Reporting and analytics, managing payroll related queries and prior exposure with SAP Success Factors would be highly regarded.
You will have excellent communication skills, coupled with strong attention to detail and the ability to work within a confidential manger with sensitive data.
