Payroll Officer

Iron Mine Contracting (IMC) was formed to provide Civil, Mining, Crushing, Screening and Indigenous partnering opportunities to the West Australian market. In collaboration with our associated partners, IMC have been delivering projects to Tier 1 Resource clients including Rio Tinto, Woodside Petroleum, Northern Star Resources FMG, Roy Hill, Saracen Minerals and Newcrest Mining amongst others since 2013.

IMC are currently seeking a Payroll Officer to join our  team at Head Office in Bayswater. The role will be  to work with a payroll of 400+ regular workforce for end-to-end payroll management.

Requirements of the Role

• Process end-to-end payroll including leave management, overtime (when applicable) and superannuation.
• Apply Award and Enterprise Agreement interpretations to employees’ conditions to employment
• Process and input all payroll data into the company’s accounting systems
• Ensure all superannuation liabilities are paid by the due date
• Respond to staff wage and salary queries
• Provide any payroll reports as required.
• Preparation of superannuation statements.
• Prepare PAYG, monthly payroll tax return, and other tax payments for remittance to the ATO and other government departments.
• Undertake annual reconciliation of wages (PAYG and Payroll Tax)
• Process, maintain and report on My Leave long service leave accruals and child support payments
• Process payroll journals fortnightly and reconcile payroll accounts on balance sheet
• Point of contact for payroll enquiries 
• Previous use of PRONTO (highly regarded) and/or other Payroll systems are required for this role
• Competency in the use of Microsoft Packages - particularly Excel Required
