About Our Role
Reporting to the Management Accountant, the Payroll Officer will be responsible for preparing and processing accurate weekly, fortnightly, and monthly pays in accordance with awards, agreements, company policies and legislation, in conjunction with our other Payroll Officer.
The Payroll Officer will maintain and retain of all employee records in line with regulations, and will ensure all information regarding new hires, terminations, remuneration and conditions of employment, as advised by the Chief People Officer or HR Manager, are accurately inputted to the computerised payroll system.
This role will provide payroll reports as required, maintain our payroll system, including installation of upgrades, in addition to responding to queries from employees in a timely and polite manner.
About You
You will have previous experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of tax legislation, superannuation, awards and award interpretation, and the ability to be organised, prioritise work, and manage time effectively. You will have strong attention to detail and be a confident problem solver.
You will be proficient in Meridian, Kronos, and Microsoft suite, with intermediate skills in Excel. You will also have the ability to build effective relationships with internal & external stakeholders, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
