Payroll Officer

The Hangan Group are a busy group of companies operating across Victoria, who are looking for a Payroll Officer to join our growing, busy team on a casual basis. This role is best-suited to someone with previous payroll experience who is content with potentially varying hours week to week. 

As a Payroll Officer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Human Resources Officer in facilitating the pay runs each week, as well as any other payroll/administration tasks as required. 

Your responsibilities will include: 

• Processing pay runs for all Hangan Group companies on a weekly basis 
• Liaising with group managers on payroll/time sheet queries 
• Assist with time sheet approval 
• Assist with leave requests
• Assist with ad-hoc payroll queries 
• Ensuring all legal obligations for payroll are met
• Other general payroll duties 
• Other general tasks as required by Human Resources Officer 

The ideal candidate will have: 

• Previous experience with payroll 
• Previous experience with Xero is preferred
• High attention to detail is essential
• Ability to work well within a team 
• Proficiency in both Microsoft Office and Google Suite 

This position requires availability on Monday and Tuesday. As this is a newly-created position to support our busy Human Resources Officer, hours will vary, based on demand (approx. 8 – 12 hours per week). However, starting time is flexible and can be discussed.
