The Hangan Group are a busy group of companies operating across Victoria, who are looking for a Payroll Officer to join our growing, busy team on a casual basis. This role is best-suited to someone with previous payroll experience who is content with potentially varying hours week to week.
As a Payroll Officer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Human Resources Officer in facilitating the pay runs each week, as well as any other payroll/administration tasks as required.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Processing pay runs for all Hangan Group companies on a weekly basis
- Liaising with group managers on payroll/time sheet queries
- Assist with time sheet approval
- Assist with leave requests
- Assist with ad-hoc payroll queries
- Ensuring all legal obligations for payroll are met
- Other general payroll duties
- Other general tasks as required by Human Resources Officer
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience with payroll
- Previous experience with Xero is preferred
- High attention to detail is essential
- Ability to work well within a team
- Proficiency in both Microsoft Office and Google Suite
This position requires availability on Monday and Tuesday. As this is a newly-created position to support our busy Human Resources Officer, hours will vary, based on demand (approx. 8 – 12 hours per week). However, starting time is flexible and can be discussed.
