Edward Mann is recruiting on behalf of an national civil and mining projects company based in Traralgon. They are looking for a Payroll Officer for an initial 5 months, but with strong potential to transition into Permanent role for exceptional candidates.
The client is looking to pay up to $80k + Super for exceptional candidates and offer working from home flexibility on an ad hoc basis.
About the role
In your role as Payroll Officer, your primary responsibility will be to complete accurate and timely processing of weekly payroll duties.
Working as part of a close-knit Finance Function, you will gain exposure to the full payroll function.
Responsibilities:
- Processing payroll for full-time and casual employees on a weekly basis.
- Maintaining all payroll and employee records.
- Processing and reconciling leave records and accruals
- Ensuring accurate and timely data input adhering to deadlines, legal obligations and payroll rulings.
- Assisting with payroll-related projects, tasks and initiatives assigned.
- Processing ad hoc reports and other requests as required.
About you
- Previous experience across the full payroll function
- Strong communication skills - written and verbal with internal stakeholder relationship skills.
- Excellent organisational and multi-tasking abilities.
- Experience interpreting and applying EBA conditions to Payroll activities.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel & Xero.
- Confident computer and software literacy.
- Other ad hoc duties where required.
