About the role
Based in Melbourne, the Payroll Officer will be the standalone Australian based contact for payroll management of a developing workforce with forecasted numbers to reach 100+ staff in the near future. The role will require on-boarding on new staff with a mixed workforce of blue and white collar. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Australian awards and excellent communication with internal work forces.
Skills & Experience
- 5+ years payroll experience ideally within operational/engineering/contracting businesses to understand the requirements
- Excellent operational payroll management experience and keen eye for detail
- Strong understanding of New Zealand payroll requirements in addition to Australian (preferable)
- Experience in working with international companies and liaising with offshore counterparts
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships with operational staff based across Australia & New Zealand
- Excellent problem solver and able to adapt to change in the transition process
- Strong Payroll software experience
- Melbourne based
