We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Payroll Officer to join our team on a Part-Time basis.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and process fortnightly payroll for employees of all associated businesses.
- Calculate and verify hours worked, overtime, deductions, and other payroll-related components.
- Ensure timely and accurate distribution of pays.
- Maintain accurate payroll records, including timesheets, leave balances, and other related documentation.
- Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees (in a timely manner), providing clear and accurate information.
- Liaise with the HR Department to ensure accurate implementation of benefits, deductions, policies, procedures and changes impacting payroll.
- Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (preferred)
- Minimum of 2 – 3 years of experience in a payroll position, preferably in a company of similar size (140 staff)
- Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation, including tax and superannuation.
- Comprehension of FairWork legislation and awards
- Proficiency in payroll software (Employment Hero preferably) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Experience with end-to-end payroll process including pays, end of month and end of year processes.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
