Job Summary:
We're currently in search of a dedicated and detail-oriented Payroll Project Specialist for a 6-month contract position. In this role, you'll provide essential support to our Payroll Partner during the implementation phase of our new payroll system, Dayforce, and assist with post go-live support for smooth payroll processing and issue resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assist in analysis, problem-solving, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for effective payroll in Dayforce.
· Perform data cleansing tasks from the legacy system (Employment Hero) to ensure compliance with legislative requirements.
· Support parallel pay runs to validate the accuracy of the new system.
· Investigate payroll issues and discrepancies as they arise.
· Assist with data migrations, mapping, and validation from the legacy system to Dayforce.
· Provide support for post go-live activities to ensure seamless end-to-end payroll processing.
· Administer payroll services in accordance with company policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.
· Assist various teams with payroll-related queries and reports.
· Contribute to internal and external auditing processes and produce related reports.
Qualifications:
· Previous experience in Payroll Projects (system/process changes, upgrades, etc.).
· At least 2-3 years of payroll experience.
· Understanding of PAYG, superannuation, payroll tax, salary sacrifice, and leave accruals.
· Ability to ensure compliance with awards and agreements, and document processes.
· Proficiency in the MS Office suite, particularly advanced Excel skills.
· Experience within the Health industry is a plus.
· Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy in payroll processes.
Skills and Abilities:
· Familiarity with payroll software, with exposure to Dayforce being advantageous.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
· Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
