Payroll Specialist – Hybrid – Adelaide
We are hiring at Aspire Software for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our growing team in Adelaide, South Australia!
The successful candidate will have proven experience as a Payroll Specialist with expertise in the Australian marketplace managing end-to-end payroll processes, working across Payroll, Accounting, Operations, HR, and Integration teams. Processing payrolls for employees across multiple organizations, managing end-to-end processing of Monthly and Fortnightly permanent and casual wages.

What your day will look like:
- Process payrolls for employees in multiple organizations
- End to End processing of Monthly and Fortnightly permanent and casual wages
- Collaborate with various stakeholders, including HR and Finance teams, to ensure seamless integration of payroll processes
- Onboarding and offboarding of employees from payrolls
- Manage and process leave entitlements
- Responsible for accurately handling superannuation lodgments, Payroll Tax Calculations, Lodgements, including Annual Reconciliations
- Reconciliation and lodgement of Workcover premiums
- Will serve as a primary point of contact for addressing and resolving queries related to payroll from both employees and management
- Month-end reconciliations and journals for leave liabilities and Payroll tax accruals
- Handling ad hoc and auditor requests
- Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist with expertise in Australian end-to-end payroll processes is essential
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and build relationships at all levels
- High level of confidentiality and integrity when handling sensitive employee information and a strong work ethic
- Agile approach towards change to meet business objectives
- Solutions-focused attitude and can manage ambiguity
- Strong problem-solving abilities with the capacity to handle complex payroll issues
- A high level of organisational skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
- Being fluent in English, both written and verbal, is essential
- Must be legally authorized to work in Australia
