About this Role
At Home Care is seeking a permanent full time Payroll Supervisor to join our amazing team.
Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, the Payroll Supervisor is responsible for identifying and implementing innovative solutions to simplify and streamline the payroll systems and processes. You will oversee all payroll processing, reporting and payments of statutory requirements, such as but not limited to payroll taxes, superannuation and statutory government reporting.
Duties
- Ensures the timely processing of weekly and fortnightly payroll, including liabilities such as workers compensation, PAYG and superannuation payment.
- Responsible for overseeing the calculating and processing of pay increases, back pays and termination payments.
- Performs end of year processes
- Liaises with functional managers on payroll related issues.
- Liaises with Systems Administrator to ensure efficient interface between payroll and all other relating systems.
- Maintains payroll operations by ensuring the team follow all relevant policies and procedures.
Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated experience in leading a small payroll team and helping drive payroll strategy.
- Proven experience in payroll administration and the use of payroll software/systems
- Ability to process records quickly and accurately, with an awareness of the policy and legal implications.
- Experience in implementing new payroll systems – experience with Aurion Payroll would be advantageous.
- Understanding of industrial relations obligations in the application of awards and agreements SCHADs highly desirable
