The successful candidate will be a natural people person, able to comfortably deal with a range of people issues whilst being flexible, adaptable, approachable, and resourceful. Using your generalist experience, you will be responsible for enabling business leaders to effectively manage people and performance issues. The successful person will also work collaboratively with the team to develop and deliver a range of proactive leadership education programs, such as managing performance and probation, new leader training and grievance handling.
About the Opportunity
Specialising in managing people related matters, including conflict resolution and leadership coaching, to enable a high performing workforce, you will empower leaders across the Regulatory and Delivery portfolio, which includes at least 11 different businesses comprising of approximately 4000 employees. You would be partnered to work with leaders across Building Commission NSW, SafeWork NSW, NSW Fair Trading, Births Deaths and Marriages, Customer Delivery and Transformation, State Insurance Regulator (SIRA), plus various independent agencies.
You will make your mark by coaching and developing leaders, shaping workforce capability, partnering with leaders for people case management and delivering outcome-focused solutions.

A typical day of work for you might include:
- Providing expert HR advice, coaching and mentoring to people leaders and employees across our portfolio group on various HR matters, including but not limited to, conflict resolution, performance concerns, and grievances
- Partnering with the P&C specialist teams, such as our ER/IR team and Safety & Wellbeing teams to support the best outcomes
- Developing and delivering informative and engaging training sessions to empower leaders
- Identifying continuous improvement opportunities, enhancing our service delivery to improve customer outcomes by assessing and updating methods, procedures and processes
- Actively participate in projects across the team.
To be successful in this role you will possess a great blend of skills and experience, including:
- Demonstrated experience in HR/ER/WHS case management or conflict resolution (ideally two years plus experience)
- A customer centric and people centric mindset with strong decision-making skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Excellent organisational & time management skills
- Enthusiasm, resilience, and energy to thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment
- Strong ethics and values that align to our customer service driven culture
