Pearls of Australia (POA) offers authentic experiences on commercial pearl farms. You will be working with established pearl farms to educate consumers and add value to their quality Australian gems through immersive onsite and offsite experiences. POA’s pearl farm tours out of Broken Bay Pearl Farm, Woy Woy & Mooney Mooney on the Central Coast of NSW, immerse customers in the story of the Australian pearl, history of the local aquaculture industry and the significance of the unique ecosystem in which their native pearl oysters grow.

Shellar Door Floor Supervisor
Reporting to the Shellar Door Tourism Manager, you will be responsible for assisting the team in these main areas:
- Selling world-class Australian pearl jewellery and merchandise.
- Supervise small team of retail/tour staff
- Manage phone and email enquiries and bookings
- Leading interactive land-based pearl farm tours (up to 2 hrs in duration)
- Managing incoming and outgoing mail
- Managing jewellery repairs/ transfers
- Maintain Shellar Door Appearence
- Ensure smooth running of the Shellar Door
- Stock management, cash handling, open and closing venue.
You will need excellent sales and communication skills, computer skills, ability to work in a small team, and a willingness to multi-task. Previous experience in jewellery and/or tour guiding is necessary. A current police clearance is essential.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in a sales role, retail and/or tour guiding
- Able to work on a rotating roster
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Unrestricted driver’s license
- Current police clearance
- Excellence in customer service
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in a jewellery sales role and/or tour guiding
- Proven background of exceeding company budgets and KPI's
- Experience supervising and leading a small team
- Attention to detail
- Bi-lingual
- Calm, can-do attitude
- Confident in public speaking
- Strong interest in pearls and high-end jewellery
- Strong interest in the natural environment and primary production
- Strong interest in tourism and creating unique customer experiences
- Experience with POS and reservation software - preferably TOWER and Fareharbor
- Experience with Microsoft Sharepoint and OneDrive
- Current First Aid Certificate

This is a full-time position located at Mooney Mooney, NSW. Candidate must be available to work weekends, public holidays and school holidays as we operate 7 days a week and over peak holiday periods.
