About the role

In this role, you will be the first point of contact for new employees, ensuring they feel supported and well-equipped from day one.

You will ensure that new employees of CRCS experience a seamless and welcoming recruitment and onboarding experience. This position will work across People and Culture and Governance, Quality and Safety to enhance the experience of new employees through the provision, set-up and training of our IT equipment, systems and internal requirements.

This position is currently a full time permanent opportunity but we are open to consider part time arrangements working minimum of 30 hours per week.


Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Administer end-to-end recruitment with a focus on candidate care.
  • Coordinate new employee onboarding, including IT equipment setup and system access.
  • Welcome new hires, provide equipment, and guide them through our systems.
  • Conduct CRCS induction sessions for new employees.
  • Advise on recruitment, induction, offboarding, and learning & development.
  • Drive continuous improvement in employee lifecycle processes.
  • Maintain compliant and accurate recruitment and employee records.
  • Prioritise professional boundaries and personal wellbeing.

Ideal candidate:

  • Tertiary qualifications in HR or related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Familiarity and experience with HR Systems is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft suite of applications.
  • Possess the personal attributes of optimism, resilience and flexibility.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary HR practices across recruitment, onboarding and learning and development as well as the relevant legislation.
  • Sound experience in providing accurate HR advice
  • Highly developed relationship building and communication skills (verbal and written), possess high level emotional intelligence.

CRCS also requires all employees to:

  • Hold or be willing to obtain a satisfactory Working with Vulnerable People registration (ACT) and/or a Working with Children Check (NSW), and have these with them at all times whilst employed by CRCS.
  • Undertake a National Criminal History Clearance by CRCS prior to commencing and every three years thereafter as a condition of employment. Employees are required to advise CRCS of any convictions that may effect their eligibility to work or perform the inherent requirements of their position.
