THE OPPORTUNITY:

This is a hybrid role, the successful candidate will need to be onsite three days a week. The P&C Business Partner is responsible for delivering operational People & Culture services, solutions, and advice across all stages of the employee life cycle. This includes employee relations, performance management, talent acquisition, remuneration, HR policies and procedures, and reporting in line with Haven Home Safe’s policies, work health and safety, statutory and funding body requirements. 

  • Provide HR guidance and advice Provide employee relations advice in accordance with the relevant modern award, policies, procedures and relevant state and federal legislation 
  • Implement a performance management system that is clear, fair and meets objectives, driving development and job satisfaction 
  • Provide guidance to managers on HR issues including employee complaints/ grievances, performance, and disciplinary matters in line with legislation and HHS policy and procedure Provide HR operational services for all staff 
  • Create and evaluate position descriptions in the context of the relevant award classification structure and associated pay rates 
  • Support the development and provide delivery of employee training activities including induction and compliance training programs 
  • Ensure the end-to-end recruitment process, job design and evaluation follows the correct procedures and are aligned with Haven Home Safe values Contribute to the continual development of P&C processes and systems 
  • Identify opportunities across HHS to maximise the impact and effectiveness of the People & Culture functional operation. 
  • Under guidance from the Head of People & Culture, contribute to the development and implementation of HR systems, policies, procedures, and processes and delivery of workshop programs 
  • Contribute to the review, updating and development of P&C policies and procedures in line with Federal and State legislation and contemporary HR practice 

ABOUT YOU:

  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources Management or equivalent 
  • Proven ability to partner with managers in delivering across all areas of operational P&C service 
  • Good understanding of employment law, OHS and other relevant legislation experience of interpreting and implementing Awards and Enterprise Agreements 
  • Highly developed analytical and ‘systems thinking’ approach 
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain constructive and collaborative working relationships 
  • Highly developed communication skills (written and oral) 
  • Proven ability to prepare a range of P&C documentation and management briefing papers/reports
